Each year we choose a theme that guides the path for all of our fantasy/adventure designed sets at the studio. As you guys know, I love telling stories, and you can always find me with a book in my bag, car and nightstand! I am an avid reader and have passed my love of books on to my children and now I want to pass that love on to my clients as well.
Our theme for 2019 is:

The Cloud 9 Literature Series Experience
Many of you have been to a portrait session, however if you have never experienced one of our fantasy/adventure sessions let me describe for you the journey you will be on from start to finish.
1. Anticipation and Preparation
As with all good adventures you need a plan and want to feel excitement for the big day. Your session adventure begins with the arrival of your confirmation package in the mail. Yes, the real mail, not email. When you open your mail box a few days after booking your portrait experience, a packet matching the theme of your session will arrive to get you excited and ready for your session. Each item in this packet will add to the anticipation you and your child will feel for the session.
2. Action
When you open the doors to the studio on the day of your portrait session, you and your child will embark upon a portrait adventure like none other. The studio is themed from entry all the way through to the shooting area to keep your excitement at the ultimate high! Of course the session will be like none other you have experienced and each theme will vary depending upon what we create. The one thing I can guarantee is your child will be talking about this day for months to come.
3. Decision
About a week after your session is completed you will return to the studio to see your child’s images larger than life! We will sit down with you in a comfortable and relaxed environment to go through the best of your session, select your favorite images and design your custom order. This is when we will show you what magic can be added to your images to create one of a kind finished art pieces for your home.
4. Transformation
Once you leave your design appointment our talented team of artists takes over. As your images pass through our magical artwork process they go from what the camera captured to unbelievable finished pieces of art. Your child will be truly transformed into the world they imagined during their session.
5. Celebration
When your artwork is ready to go home we will celebrate with you upon delivery! The unveiling of your portrait art will be an event in itself. Enjoying the artwork in your home will last a lifetime.
Literature Series Details:
- Each theme varies in price and session time. As we approach the dates for each theme we will release the specific details on this webpage to help you reserve your appointment.
- Experience fees will range from $45-$150 depending on the session.
- The experience fee for each session covers your adventure as described above. Portraits and finished artwork are available to purchase and are ordered and paid for at your design appointment after the session.
- Session times are limited in availability.

How do you get to Neverland? “Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning”
Classic children’s literature has always been a source of inspiration for my photography. Through the story of Peter Pan we are reminded that there is a childlike sense of adventure and wonder inside all of us; and we don’t want to let it go. As children we dream, imagine and go on adventures. As we become adults we lose the ability to let our minds change the world around us. As a parent, I long to keep my children believing the world is their never ending adventure for as long as possible.
This year I wanted to celebrate the thought of childlike wonder and imagination by guiding kids on their very own Peter Pan adventure.
