It turns out that fuzzy yellow tail feathers aren’t the only tails getting shaken at the studio these days. That’s right, in addition to our baby duck portraits, we decided to bring in two adorable bunny rabbits for a day of portraits with the Cloud 9 Kids.
While most people run at the thought of photographing children and animals, I LOVE it! To me there is nothing cuter than watching the expressions on babies and kids when they interact with tiny little animals.
Here is a fun recap of the day…
Eryn, my 9 year old daughter, is a huge helper (when she wants to be). She came in to the studio early with me to get the Easter Eggs stuffed with candy, set up the craft stations and to put out the cookies and jelly beans for clients to nibble on. Of course she “clocked in” for the job.
When we photograph theme days at the studio I am always sure to do a few things: 1. Decorate, 2. Have lots of yummy treats and 3. Have crafts or activities to keep the kids busy while mom/dad are looking at portraits. Thanks to Eryn, that all happened relatively seamlessly while I was busy photographing!
Mary had the bunnies at her house and snuggled with them most of the night and morning to get them all ready for the children. When she arrived we brought the bunnies in to the studio to get some test shots.
Even when the bunnies were being “naughty” and not looking at the camera, they managed to be cute!
From 10am until 3pm we photographed a session every 15 minutes! That is a lot of children, bunny cuddles, carrots and sore knees! I am getting old. HAHA
Hannah snuck out of the projector room to come shoot this quick video on my iPhone so I could share what the day looked like behind the scenes. I decided to keep the set very simple to show off the children and the bunnies. I knew most of the parents had chosen spring colored adorable outfits and the white/grey background would really show off those colors!
I am so happy (and judging from the adorable images taken that day I believe the children are too) that we decided to welcome the little bunnies to the studio for a day!
I do have a few more sessions to edit and will post images as I finish them. However, I will NEVER get this blog posted if I wait!
At the end of the day Eryn finally had her time with the bunnies. She loved every second and begged to take them home with us.
I hope you were one of the lucky clients who joined us for either our baby duck portraits or our bunny portraits! We had some much fun this Springtime with all of the children!
Soon we will be releasing our Summer event and theme portrait dates! If you would like to get notified as soon as we release the specials, events and themes for the summer sign up below.
