Welcome to Volume 2 of our “Getting to Know your Cloud 9 Staffers”. This week we are featuring 20 questions with Hannah!
Check it out below!
- What’s your name & job title at Cloud 9?
My name is Hannah and my official title is Production Assistant but I do so much more and I love it!
- How long have you worked at Cloud 9?
Four years!! I began right when I started college and I had barely turned 18 and I am now 22 and finishing college!
- What’s your favorite part of your job?
Being able to be so creative in the personalizations on everyone’s boxes, being able to make children smile for their pictures, and being part of a company that realizes the importance of preserving precious moments through the art of photography. I swear it’s not a plug, I really do believe it!
- What are your hobbies?
I am currently a full time student at the University of Tampa so school is my main hobby besides work!! LOL. But besides that, when I have free time.. I love going to see live music! Any and all types of music; I love and have seen it all – from new country to classical orchestra and from hard rock to slow blues-y, jazz. I also love creating art work for people! I have always liked being artistic but calling myself an artist sometimes feels pretentious… I love hand lettering and creating pieces for people that they will love and cherish! I have hand painted shoes, made signs for wedding gifts, and drawn original artwork for personal friends tattoos! I just love being able to put someone’s idea onto paper!
- What’s your favorite holiday movie?
It’s a hard tie between Elf and Home Alone… But I can’t really consider them holiday movies because I watch them all year round! LOL.
6. What’s your favorite holiday song?
I’ll have to be pretty basic and say that its “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey… or a classic that always puts me in the Christmas mood is the theme song from Home Alone (“Somewhere in my Memory”) by John Williams. I really love all Christmas music except for Last Christmas by Wham! Haha it haunts us at the studio!!
- What’s your favorite Christmas gift as a child?
Probably my bike or scooter! Santa wouldn’t wrap them so they would be set up and out for us to see as soon as we woke up! It was so exciting and whenever we got done opening presents, my brother and I would go outside and ride them around until we had somewhere to be.
- Favorite holiday tradition?
Every year since I can remember, my family has gone to a pretty big Christmas pageant at a local Christian church at the beginning of December and it always allows us to start off the Christmas season in the right mindset and reminds us what Christmas is really all about!
- Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper! It is so much more hands-on to open a present that has been wrapped than one that is in a bag! That’s why its called unwrapping presents!!
- Real or Fake tree?
REAL!! They’re a pain in the butt, but its one of my favorite memories of Christmas growing up – picking out the tree or my dad coming home with the one he picked out! It makes the house smell amazing!
- Clear lights or colored?
I have grown up with the classic large colored glass bulbs that we had to change out each year, so I love those for the nostalgia, but I am definitely a classic white lights person in my personal decor. I like the lights to simply illuminate what they are on, whether it is a tree or a house!
- Star or Angel tree topper?
Angel! Stars are boring!
- Gingerbread or sugar cookies?
Sugar!
- Hot Cocoa, Egg Nog, or Apple Cider?
Egg Nog! I’d drink it all year round if they sold it! It runs through my veins during Christmas!
- What are your favorite holiday foods?
Roasted, savory pumpkin seeds from inside the pumpkin we carve and then these candied pecans my mom makes each year! They’re addictive!!
- Peppermint Lover or Hater?
It’s a love/hate relationship!
- Open presents Christmas Eve or morning?
I was never allowed to open presents on Christmas Eve! Nothing would be under the tree until after we went to bed… Its all about waking up to whats below the tree! We even would wait to open our stockings for a couple of weeks! It’s the twelve days of Christmas!! Why not make it last longer??
- What is your favorite activity of Peppermint the Elf?
I love when Peppermint replaces everyone’s face with his in photos around the house!! Its sneaky but effective!
- What is your favorite part of the holidays at the studio?
Being able to listen to Christmas music at the beginning of November!! LOL kidding!! I really love being a part of the Santa sessions and the excitement each child has when they meet him!
- Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer (without looking it up?)
Oh c’mon, that’s easy!! …“You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen.. Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen.. But do you recall? The most famous reindeer of all… Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!!” Didn’t even have to look!!
Stay tuned for next week when we will be featuring Mary!!!
