Sometimes you have to have a little fun & not take yourself too seriously…haha…since we did A Christmas Story theme this year for my son’s Christmas photos I figured why not embrace it???

1) What’s your name & job title at Cloud 9?

I’m Carly & I am the Social Media Manager for Cloud 9!  

2) How long have you worked at Cloud 9?

Just since October, but I have been a client since my son was born in January 2016.

3) What’s your favorite part of your job?

The creative aspect.  I love coming up with interesting content to interact with our clients!  

4) What are your hobbies?

Mostly right now it’s spending time with my son since I stay home with him.  I love doing family trips….we have season passes to Disney and Sea World/Busch Gardens…it’s fun seeing my son experience it through his eyes.  We are traveling close to home these days because we have another bundle of joy arriving the end of January so I’m kind of limited on certain things right now and spending a lot of time prepping for that….decorating the room, etc.  In addition to trips, I love to shop, cook, go to the beach, go to sporting events (we have season tickets to the Bucs), do crafty things, decorate the house…

5) What’s your favorite holiday movie?

Christmas is my abolute fav time of year so I have several….lol….my top ones are National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, White Christmas, A Christmas Story (filmed in Cleveland where I’m from….), Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown….the list goes on…haha…

Case in point – here are my son’s Christmas photos that Jeanine shot for me the past 2 years!  My son will either love or hate my Christmas obsession when he is older…haha…right now he is clearly not a fan!!! 

6) What’s your favorite holiday song?

Anything Bing Crosby….that is Christmas to me…Mele Kamikimaka is one of my favs….

7) What’s your favorite Christmas gift as a child?

The thing that stands out to me the most was a Barbie condo that Santa brought my little sister and I to share.  It had 3 floors and an elevator you could pull the string to make it go up and down….it was the coolest!  

8) Favorite holiday tradition?

Decorating the tree is always special to me.  We always got a special ornament just for us each year so it was always fun to put up all your special ornaments.  I have continued that tradition ever since my husband and I started dating we get a couple (now family) ornament every year and we always get an ornament when we travel as well for the tree….and now my son Dylan gets his own special ornament each year that he will get to treasure as he gets older.  Last Christmas we went up north and picked out ornaments from Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, MI which is the largest Christmas store in the country…needless to say they have quite the selection to choose from I could’ve bought the whole store!!!

9) Wrapping paper or gift bags?

Wrapping Paper is my favorite although gift bags are easier.  Everyone gets their own special gift wrap each year for their presents under the tree.

10) Real or Fake tree?

We always had a real tree growing up which was always fun to go pick out, but we now I have a beautiful fake one that is a lot less messy and less painful hanging ornaments on…haha.

11) Clear lights or colored?

Colored.  We do white icicles on the house but all the bushes have colored lights as does our tree.

12) Star or Angel tree topper?

Star

13) Gingerbread or sugar cookies?

Sugar!  Although I love the smell of gingerbread, not the taste….

14) Hot Cocoa, Egg Nog, or Apple Cider?

Hot Cocoa.  Even better with some Rumchata or Baileys (when I’m not pregnant of course..)

15) What are your favorite holiday foods?

Oh my gosh what isn’t my favorite holiday food?  Haha.  Our holiday standards are always turkey, homemade mashed potatoes & gravy (I’m always in charge of the gravy), corn casserole, pierogis, and all the fun apps and desserts…I am constantly trying new recipes (experiments)…food and making everything homemade has always been super important on holidays with my family growing up….

16) Peppermint Lover or Hater?

I’m ok with it….not a lover or hater…don’t like peppermint and chocolate together though…

17) Open presents Christmas Eve or morning?

When I was a kid it was Christmas Eve with my Dad & his family then Christmas Day with my Mom and her family…when we are in Ohio we still follow the same schedule.  When we are in Florida, we do everything Christmas Morning although now that my son is a little older this year I may do a special Christmas Eve gift with some Christmas jammies & treats to get ready for Santa to come…

18) What is your favorite activity of Peppermint the Elf?

I’m not in the studio much so he hasn’t pulled any tricks on me….yet….there is still time….haha

19) What is your favorite part of the holidays at the studio?

This is my first year as an employee so I can tell you next year!  Haha!  As I client I have always enjoyed the fun holiday ambiance the studio has every season…

20) Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer (without looking it up?)

You know Dasher & Dancer & Prancer & Vixen….Comet & Cupid & Donner & Blitzen….but do you recall….the most famous reindeer of all………Rudolph!
