Carla Holness – School Portrait Manager and Event Photographer 

2. How long have you worked at Cloud 9?

Six years

3. What’s your favorite part of your job?

Having the opportunity of doing something else not involving being a stay at home mom! Ha! Just kidding. I love being a mom to three beautiful kids (5,4,1), but honestly they wear me down sometimes. Working at the studio, photographing daycares, working and photographing other kids is a wonderful and fun outlet for me of being a full time mommy.

4. What are your hobbies?

Taking road trips with the family, hiking, camping, and doing fun memorable experiences with my husband and kids. Inexpensive day trips are always my favorite!

5. What’s your favorite holiday movie?

Babes in Toyland

6. What’s your favorite holiday song?

The Little Drummer Boy

7. What’s your favorite Christmas gift as a child?

I can’t remember if it was when I was 4 or 5 years old, but I remember getting a little kitchen with pretend food. I loved playing on it and pretending.

8. Favorite holiday tradition?

Putting up the tree and decorating the house. Baking Christmas cookies while listening to Christmas music.

9. Wrapping paper or gift bags?

Wrapping paper…. There is nothing like ripping off wrapping paper on Christmas morning

10. Real or Fake tree?

Definitely real tree… I love the smell of a real Christmas tree

11. Clear lights or colored?

Clear lights

12. Star or Angel tree topper?

Star

13. Gingerbread or sugar cookies?

Neither… Chocolate chip cookies, or homemade specialty cookies

14. Hot Cocoa, Egg Nog, or Apple Cider?

Hot Cocoa

15. What are your favorite holiday foods?

Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, apple and pecan pie. AND cookies!!!!!!

16. Peppermint Lover or Hater?

Peppermint lover all the way!

17. Open presents Christmas Eve or morning?

Christmas morning right after a wonderful Christmas breakfast.

18. What is your favorite activity of Peppermint the Elf?

I’ve never done Elf on the Shelf… and I can’t say I’ve been in the studio for Peppermint the Elf

19. What is your favorite part of the holidays at the studio?

The Christmas sets and the office Christmas party!

20. Can you name all of the reindeer (without looking?)

Of course!
