HOLY COW!
Last October when I got this crazy idea to write a book in the middle of my busiest time of year, I had no idea that come launch week it would be a #1 selling book on Amazon! I am still in shock and periodically break out in to my little dance of joy.
For those of you who have been following along my book writing journey you will know this has been a dream of mine for some time. I always knew I wanted to write a book, and once the ideas started flowing I couldn’t shut them off! Believe it or not, I already have the ideas for 2 more books! Of course if I don’t want to get divorced I will breathe for a bit before hitting the road on Book #2 🙂
What Inspired Me?
Since the book released I am always asked, “Jeanine how did you come up with the idea for this book?”. That is a great question and one I asked a mentor and published author before I began writing Don’t Blink. He said to me … “What do ALL of your clients worry about and constantly ask you questions about? Write about that!”
If you are a client or a parent who loves photographing your children then you probably already know that everyone:
- always has anxiety about what to photograph at what age
- wonders what is normal behavior
- thinks – is my child crazy?
- how long should a portrait session last
- what are the most important milestones of my child’s life to photograph?
When I sat down to write Don’t Blink, those are the questions I set out to answer.
