One of my summer projects was giving our website a much needed face lift. While I loved our old design, it was time for a fresh and updated look. For the past few years I have worked with a very talented web designer and gave her a call to let her know it was time to work her magic again! Jennifer, from Hello You Designs, was incredible and customized a design just for me!
From the whimsical watercolor clouds and raindrops, to the easy navigation, this website totally represents Life on Cloud 9!
I thought it would be fun to take you on a tour of some of my favorite parts of the new design!
The Home Page
With technology constantly changing and more and more clients coming to our website via their phone and not their desktops, it was important to me for this design to be phone friendly and still look amazing! Voila!!!
I love the grid at the top showcasing some of my favorite images and types of sessions to photograph.
As you scroll down the home page it hits on all the important topics without ever having to leave!
Easy as 1-2-3-4
While it may be obvious to me what the steps are to booking a session and enjoying a printed portrait for life, I know it isn’t obvious to those searching the internet for a portrait photographer. That is why we designed this section of the website to tell you the 4 easy steps and then a button to chat with me!
My Blog
I always joke that I became a photographer because I was a frustrated writer. I love telling stories, and while I am not the best with a pen/paper, I certainly know how to work a camera! My blog section of the website gives me this opportunity to share with you different sessions, thoughts on my mind, happenings at the studio and many other items as they pop in my brain.
I try to post at least once a week, maybe twice, check back often to see what is going on!
My Family Portrait
I know how hard it is to get in front of the camera. You would think as a photographer I would do it all the time. HA HA HA. I still have 2 kids and a husband to make cooperate in order for that to happen, so no … I am not oozing in family portraits. That is why the one I have up on my “About Jeanine” page is so special to me. Not only did I fly to Chicago to visit with one of my best photography friends, Jeff Ebert, but we were able to enjoy the experience of being photographed together and have the stories to tell from it! You can read about that experience here and learn the top 5 things I learned about photographing my family.
I hope you stick around the website for awhile and look to see all the changes! We have added new images to our galleries, updated our holiday portrait page, and lots of other fun little details.
Thanks for hanging out with me for a little bit today!
Hugs,
Jeanine
